Setting Up Outlook 2002/XP

Step 1

Open up outlook, click on the 'Tools' Menu, then click on 'E-Mail Accounts...'. If you do not see the options click on the button to expand the menu.

Step 2

Select the 'View or change existing e-mail account' then click 'Next'.

Step 3

Click on the 'Add...' button to add a new mail server.

Step 4

Select POP3 then click on 'Next'.

Step 5

Enter in your name to be displayed to your recipients, your email address, username (which is the same as your FULL email address), password. Your incoming and outgoing mailservers should be set to mail.yourdomain.com.au. Please do not use mail.datacom.net.au this is an example only, and will not work.

After you have finished Click the 'More Settings ...' Button.

Step 6

Check all your details are entered correctly into the window. Then click on the 'Outgoing Server' tab

Step 7

Tick the box 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'. Then click on the 'Ok'

Step 8

Select the new mail server, and click the 'Set as Default' button. Click on Finish to complete the process.
